WYLIE ROSE LANDS AT WKDF NASHVILLE

From ALL ACCESS today:

Veteran ATLANTA personality, WYLIE ROSE, most recently at CITADEL Country WKHX/ATLANTA will take on WKDF mornings, joining DAVID REED, already in-house.

Good for Wylie. Isn't WKDF also owned by Citadel?

When WKDF went country, I thought they were nuts. I believe the station was owned by Dick Broadcasting at the time. But KDF has hung in, though usually #3 in a 3-station race.

I visited Nashville in 1992; WSIX and WSM-FM were fighting it out tooth and nail. They both sounded unbelievable. WSIX still has the great Gerry House in the morning, but based on what I've heard on WSIX's stream, the station doesn't sound anywhere near as good as it once did (although a certain poster on this board probably disagrees).

Of course not...John Sebastian got a hold of it. ;D

Congrats to Wylie! She was an amazing talent who is missed by at least me :)

Props to Wylie. I noticed in the GM's press release that he mentioned they will continue to focus on the music. That normally means 9 records an hour. Nonetheless, it is great to see that Wylie will put her stamp on the largest country music market in America.

Sebastian re-TOOLed WSM-FM in Nashville (95.5 The Wolf) --- not KDF/ but somehow he still was probably to blame for
how he did affect 103.3 WKDF (to paraphrase an ATL RI-liner.)
