WYMX leaves longtime companion Bob for old flame Max

Does that station know what it wants to do?

Apparently not. Unless it's some sort of speciality show on right now, they've changed again, to some funky fried R&B music that I'm kinda digging. First song was "fat women make the best lovers", then one about "you don't wear the dresses I bought you" and now they're on to "she can't dance without the boom-boom-boom"...

I heard that this evening too, albeit scratchy down here in the capitol city. I remember hearing it on a Saturday night right before Christmas. I had wondered if WYMX had changed formats then, but they were back to being Bob the next day.

Yeah it's after midnight now and they're back to Max. I was kinda digging that music, it was innerestin'! :D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that leaves the delta with no real local classic rock or oldies type outlet. There's WOHT from Grenada and whatever that cl. rocker is from Jackson, but neither has much a signal in Greenwood or Greeville or Cleveland.

I guess all the white people (the few left) in the delta listen to country. I don't see how the Max format is gonna do any better than Bob. Not to mention duplication; WMUT in Grenada runs the same satellite feed. And Leland, last time I was out there, has their own little Hot AC-ish station. Is that really where the revenues are past gospel and country?
