It's been off for a couple of weeks. Shame, too, since it was one of the best HD signals in the area and ran no subchannels. I hope they turn it back on soon.
HD in this area is a shambles. 107.3-2 is off again, 101.5-2 is on but running static in one channel, 104.1 is off. Then the CC stations (99.9, 94.9 and 96.1) and fade in and out on the -1 channels even though the signal is strong. Some sort of glitch, I guess, since it doesn't affect the -2's at all. And WUWF's HD won't decode at all on my main HD radio despite a strong signal. Something about the bug in their encoder that they can't fix.

It's certainly of little use if they're not running a subchannel, which none of the Cumulus stations do, I don't think. WYOK could easily have an all 80's or all oldies HD-2 to compliment the variety hits of the Jack-FM format. But that would require forethought and sticking a computer in a closet, which is too difficult for today's radio corporations.
HD-2 plus a stream on the station's website would help attract more office and on the go listening, I think. But that's just me and I don't hafta pay those big bills.
