WYOU's Sid Michaels

FTVLive is reporting, along with "Howard Beale," that WYOU sports director Sid Michaels has left the station. The Scranton newspaper article says Michaels will be the new Public Information Director for the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Caucus.

In the newspaper article, the WBRE/WYOU news director hack says he's "known Sid for a long time." Since when a little over a year considered a "long time?" The current news director started there as executive producer a little over a year ago.

Beale is reporting Sid resigned after finding out he was going to play second fiddle to WBRE sports guy Phil Schoner (I'm sure I spelled Phil's last name wrong)...and that the New WYOU News was not going to include sports. Good for Sid that he told those Nexstar idiots where they could shove thier contract. If the new WYOU News will not include sports, what's going to happen with Mike Conigliaro? If anyone should be playing second fiddle, it should be Phil...putting him back on weekends...while Sid should become the WBRE sports director once again.

Also, Beale is reporting that WBRE/WYOU general manager John Dittmeier is gone. Tim Busch is now acting general manager of the two stations. I believe Busch is one of the corporate regional VPs or something like that. I also believe he is or was General Manager at WROC in Rochester.

I found this on the Nexstar.tv website:

Timothy Busch - Senior Vice President, Regional Manager
Timothy Busch has served as Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Nexstar Broadcasting since October 1, 2002 and has oversight responsibility for all Group Television Stations located east of the Mississippi. Prior to that Mr. Busch served as our Vice President and General Manager of WROC Television (CBS) in Rochester, New York. Prior to joining Nexstar Broadcasting, Mr. Busch was General Sales Manager of the Gannett-owned NBC affiliate in Buffalo, New York from 1993-2000. Previous to that Mr. Busch held various sales management positions at WGRZ and at WGR AM and FM radio stations in Buffalo.
