I have noticed about two days ago that WYPA was silent. I wonder if they have technical difficulties with its audio, or if the station is either signing off for good or switching formats.
Funny thing is Friday morning I was listening to them in the parking lot of Whole Foods in Marlton my friend had to get something in there, but I had their HD-2 on, nice soothing sounds. I did pass their facilities on route 70 that one high rise in the middle with all the antenna junk on the roof right off 295. I wanted to see how their signal was and believe it or not I had them with no problems both HD-1 and HD-2 all the way to Philly. When the powerhouse HD's drop and this little giant stays locked it says something. They are committed to their signals. Oh back on topic, as of Friday around 11AM they were still on the air.
Yeah, yesterday around 3pm they were back on, but then around 7 they were dead air again. WYPA has decent coverage into philly for sure, but 106.9 is clearly much stronger. with 38,000 watts vs 1kw on 89.5.
