WYRE 105.5 FM

Elvis Duran in the morning...Patty Steele doing News/Traffic 3 times an hour in the mornings. Very interesting move...wonder if the other dayparts will be live and local. Listening to the station so far sounds very good and perfect match for St. Augustine.

Hopefully this will prove to be the correct move for WYRE-FM; while the Saint Augustine radio listeners and business community become the ultimate winners.

Any way to increase the power/signal into Jax? Only other 105.5 is in Tampa. Spacing issues?

Looks like it to me. And with 105.3 and 105.7.already occupied in that area.....

My only concern is can another CHR of any type no matter how well programmed stand out in a market where two other CHR signals that have a history in the market.

Their focus is St.Johns and Flagler counties. Ratings won't be a big factor, working with local directs will count more.

Even still the format duplicates Jacksonville stations that boom into St.Johns and Flagler.

You have to wonder why did they choose more of the same? And with the average age like 45-50 I'm not sure CHR was the best choice. But hey it's their money!
