WYRE and WAMD together

Managed to take some time Saturday to listen to WAMD. Not a bad presentation. But then, at the toh ID, they gave the calls of 3 different stations. WYRE was one of them. That's a station I used to love while on the Chesapeake during their "never more than 2 minutes from music" days. Glad to hear them Top 40 again.

Bill Parris has this thing for AM's, his "network" is WAMD Aberdeen, WYRE used to be Annapolis, they were trying to move it to the Baltimore area, and WKHZ in Easton. Rim shot radio.

I think it was WAMD they were trying to move. Was it to Galena? But WYRE and its 250 watts have been in the capitol city since the start.

There were plans to move WYRE's transmitter and COL to Essex with a 250-watt daytime directional aimed mostly southward, but I don't know if anything progressed beyond planning. I haven't heard anything about WAMD, but I can't see that happening after WNYM's owners having sabotaged the station before 'unloading' it on Parris.
