WYRN, Louisburg sold

Curtis Media has sold WYRN 1480 in Louisburg to Johnson Media Group for $190,000. Johnson owns another former Curtis station, WCPS in Tarboro. No word on a new format for 1480, which has simulcast talk WDOX 570 for the past several years.

wow...thats dirt cheap...but what can anybody do with a high band low power station in the middle of nowhere???..last time I went thru there around 2002 the place looked kind of neat.

How smart you are. By the way, I've been looking for the post where you predicted this event so I can put it in my 'sniff' folder and I can't seem to find it. Can you please post a link.
