Let's look at this "window of opportunity"Since it opened up because Oppie and Anthony came on-air, WYSP ...First had cousin Ed fill the spot ( which was a good move )then they added ( unless I am wrong ) Marilyn, then.....they removed Ed and unfortunately brought in Brent ( from y100 )then they canned both of them ( thankfully ) and brought backEd who had Jimmy Norton on, until some brainiac has the cahones to locate......Joe Conklin, who is a really creative guy and a very interesting person who BELONGS on radio since he seems to have an endless supply of voice impersonations in his repetoir. So now we have, hopefully for a long while, Cousin Ed and Joe Conklin from 1p-3pKudos to WYSP.

Matt and Huggy have been doing it the last few days. They're not bad either...better than expected. Conklin is overrated.

Wouldn't it be wiser to move Ed into the 1 to 3PM slot, thisway, Matt and Huggy can rock from 7PM until midnight, they are the best when it comes to playing Rock. At least this will salvage some time for music, during the broadcast period.

I think I agree with you on this one. Matt and Huggy as a "talk" format is awful, they just aren't that good at it. They are better suited for playing their music and chit-chatting in-between. However, I would just give Ed the boot. He's not that good to begin with, either, and for 2 hours he just seems lost. We'll see how this all settles out. Personally I enjoyed Eskin & Eskin last week, but with Spike gone, that won't happen again.

I think they are still having 'tryouts' and haven't settled on Conklin.
This is correct. There is no certainty yet, even regarding anyone who might have only done a day or two.
