WYSP HD-3

it looks like it will be WIP

but why not just move it to the main channel whos going to go out and buy an hd radio to listen to WIP on FM ?

or is something bigger about to happen with 94.1 ?

I hope it's WPHT it would be great to hear the Phillies game in HD. It's a pain in the butt listening to 1210 in HD when your driving. But knowing WPEN ia already on HD3 of WMGK it wouldn't suprise me to hear WIP. Maybe WPHT will end up on WOGL HD3?

It will be WIP. They are already promoting it on the Phillies' radio broadcasts--but the promos are brief and oddly stiff sounding, just a monotone guy saying something like "Starting Independence Day, SportsRadio WIP will be heard on 94.1 FM HD-3." More like a legal announcement than an enticement to listen.

So what will WIP be replacing? A KYW simulcast? Or is it that HearPhilly.com thing? Does anybody know? Does anybody even own an HD radio in the last six months?

KYW is on 94.1-2 and up until recently there was no 94.1-3, so WIP is not replacing anything.
