Yes, there was Sonny Fox and Bob Leonard in the morning. They were actually one of the earlier incarnations of the Morning Zoo format that came into prominence in the early 80's. Sonny Fox was one of the driving forces behind a syndicated program Superstar Radio Network Presents, which was a live concert program in the late 70's featuring artists like The Babys, Joan Armatrading recorded live in venues from Philly.
I believe that Denny Somach was an afternoon guy back then, but I dont remember exactly.
Wow, talk about bringing back rock radio memories from Philly. We actually had 3 good rock radio station back then with WMMR, WYSP and WIOQ.
