Yeah, they need to make sure they're synced up to get the "turn the TV sound down and listen" audience who wants to hear its homer announcers, but won't put up with delayed PBP to do it. Also, they want to be live so that people at the game can listen.
I wish WPHT would do this with Phillies games. Their delay is still on. I was watching the Mets and Phillies on channel 57 last weekend and WPHT was on delay, while WFAN was live (or, exactly as delayed as the TV was). Even WCMC in Wildwood, running the Phillies network, was live. WPHT was behind. I will say that WFAN was on delay when the Mets were in Philly. Maybe they only turn off the IBOC for Mets home games. WPHT is delayed home and away.
