Outlaw had a really bad morning show. All talk and little music. The station was just there to protect Infinity's other country station here, powerhouse WQYK. The plan (which worked for a number of years) was for Outlaw 92.5 to keep one of the other groups (Clear Channel or Cox) from putting on a third country station in the market. Meanwhile, Outlaw would target men and not pull women away from WQYK. The problem was, Outlaw wasn't programmed well and never got any ratings. Plus, it was on one of the weaker signals in the market. Then, Clear Channel got QYK's morning show and launched country on powerful 103.5. Now, we are going to have a real country war between Infinity's WQYK and Clear Channel's WFUS (US 103.5). To replace the morning show they lost, WQYK just hired country music singer Chad Brock and country comedian Cludus T. Judd for morning drive.
