Driving around this morning, I noticed that WYZE/1480, which had been off the air for several years, is back. The station was playing gospel music. That may or may not be their full-time format (because it's Sunday morning).
WMDG/1260 in East Point. Don’t know whether their former site on Boulevard still exists.Did their old tower site get sold?
Who else are they sharing the tower with?
Can you extend a construction permit deadline with a STA?Someday I'm going to get all of you to learn how to use FCCData.org to read STA filings so you don't have to guess at what's happening.
WYZE applied in late June to extend its STA while it works on that CP:
STATEMENT RE CONSTRUCTION STATUS
The licensee requests an extension of the STA granted in File No. 0000270215.
The equipment for construction and installation of the facilities for joint operations at a common antenna site with another station as authorized in the station’s construction permit in File No. BP-20230324AAA has been acquired. An engineer has been engaged to implement the installation. The engineer is working on this project intermittently with other installation projects at other stations. The licensee expects that installation will be completed within the next few weeks, at which time a license application will be submitted and normal full power service to the community will be restored.
No, but you can reapply for a new CP with the same facilities after your existing CP expires (or you ask to have it canceled)Can you extend a construction permit deadline with a STA?
