Name it, and they've done it wrong. Poor music. No promotion. No talent (cage was their best jock and now he's gone). Bob & Sheri now on in mornings (that makes 5 morning show teams in 3 years, JT & Co, Dylan & Liz, Dylan & Senea, Matt & Senea). That's one reason we're ahead 3x.<P ID="signature">______________

WOW. That certainly explains it. Bob & Sheri? Dear God Man!!!!!!! Where did Cage go? Are they just letting go to hell on purpose? Because that's what it looks like. Are you guys just that much better, or have they just sucked? Or has it been a combination of both?

As if we needed further evidence that Z102 needs severe help...

I thought I'd seen it all. But Cumulus sure has a way of proving me wrong.

You'd think that you'd hold on to one of the best things you had going for your station (Jason Cage, who was a good jock, as Russ said.) But he's gone. Way to go!

You'd think that after the format changes, PD changes, airstaff changes, etc., they'd want some stability. Nope. In addition to the night guy leaving, the PD is out the door as well. Granted, after a book like that, I can't blame management for wanting changes, but what happens if by some bizarre chance their ratings blow up in the upcoming book? They'll kick themselves. Not that it will be the first time.

You'd think that the folks at Cumulus (including corporate, since they seem to get so much grief) would keep up with the CHR format, including playing the RIGHT music. Especially when going up against a focused, well-executed CHR across the street that actually doesn't do bad in the ratings. Yet I'm hearing 4 Non Blondes - "What's Up". WHAT?

If all of this is true, what a huge embarrassment for Z102 and Cumulus-Savannah. I don't know the circumstances surrounding their departures, but right before the book and at once? It's sad, really...Z used to be THE station around here...

Yeah, Z102 *was* the station here, back in 1998/1999. I simply cannot fathom how Cumulus can keep a straight face and blindly flush their money down this toilet. Give it up, guys. Spin the format wheel and get Savannah talking again. That's the *only* way that the 102.1 frequency is going to garner any listeners. Otherwise, we'll get to see a very interesting thing: just how low can an FM station rank in the Arbs? Any fourth-graders out there need a topic for a science project? Here's a great one.

russ, good to see you on the board. Keep up the great job dominating Savannah's CHR. It's not hard doing so when the other guys aren't even trying and seem to have the worst case of schizophrenia ever recorded.

Phil, great to see you man! Drop by more often. I know it's a ghost town here, but still...hope all is well in phil-land.

NICE! That had me rolling...and the sad thing is, it's true. How often do you see a 100,000 watt heritage CHR signal in the ONE's?

And by the way, I haven't seen confirmation of the changes in All Access, R&R, et al, but I did see an ad for a new programmer for Z102 in All Access jobs. So I guess it's all but certain that the PD chair is currently empty.

The ad talks about restoring a brand, and slamming the CC competition (WAEV) into the ground. If severe changes aren't made and FAST, well...good luck with that...

The way Cumulus is run now (both on the local and national level), I don't think it can be done. Congrats to Chris, Russ, TJ, and all (me), who killed Z.

Re: As if we needed further evidence that Z102 needs severe help...

Thanks for all the fun guys! I’m headed to Little Rock! Good luck in Savannah!

This has been one of the only markets I’ve been in where the "Big Dog" actually acknowledge the "Little Dog" on a regular basis, and on their website! Maybe I'm old school but to me, this means we won.

Thanks TJ for all the free plugs, I would have considered me a threat too!
