WZGV 730

I understand the 930 site is 50 acres. I bet it is worth a ton.
Is the 930 site located on Hood Rd. at the old Channel 36 TV site? Or is that a different location? And does 103.7 share the same tower as 930 or is it now separate? I know they are not on the same tower as Channel 9 anymore.

But in terms of the real estate, apparently the Hood Rd. area is a hot commodity for a proposed data center, which is controversial and now on hold.

so someone fill me in here, but as far as what’s going to happen tomorrow, i’m jumbled between both: the announcement that WZGV will cease operations, and it being planned for WZGV to find another site via a FCC filling (i’m piggybacking off of Lance Venta’s post here). will WZGV go away all together, or will they be only temporarily be off air/silent for around 6 months as they find a new tower spot?

on a side note, it’s easy for me to say i’ll miss a radio station (as i did with the former “Mix” CHR format earlier this month) but regardless of what happens to WZGV, i’ll especially be missing WZGV for how i remember them being one of the few radio stations i remember scanning around on a early 2000s indigo Emerson boombox in 2018 as my first year of getting into the fascination of radio (this was back when they were “730 The Game” for ESPN)

It was 1370 WGHC Clayton, GA. This move to Mount Holly facilitated Clayton GA radio owner Art Sutton to apply for 1400 in Clayton to provide 24-hr service -1370 was a daytimer as is 870 Mount Holly.

That's the one, thanks. I still don't get all that...

Now that, I understand. There's something about those early catches that get you hooked.

The old WSOC AM and WZGV are located on Tar Heel Rd. 930 is a three tower directional. 730 is diplexed on one of the three towers.
