Anyone know what, if anything, is planned for WZGX-AM 1450 in Bessemer? It returned to the air several months ago and had been broadcasting a Regional Mexican format. However, during the last couple of weeks, the station has been broadcasting dead air. Seems like the original plan for 1450 was to use it to feed the 99.1 FM translator (W256CD), but that was when 99.1 was airing the sports format and that never materialized of course, with ALT 99.1 arriving on the scene. Does Valleydale have any intentions with WZGX or is the station going to die on the vine as many of the other Reynolds-affiliated properties have done in the past?
