WZHL Hattiesburg

I just found out through radio-locator.com that this station exists. It's licensed to New Augusta with the call letters WZHL. Is it on the air and what's the format?

This station has been listed on there for years now and i always wondered the same thing. But i finally found out while on a trip from Mobile, AL to Jackson, MS. There was nothing but static from the time I drove through New Augusta and through all of Hattiesburg heading north on 49.

I do not believe it has been built...it is listed for sale on a couple of broker sites for about $400 K. JBI

Thanks for the info. It saves me from making a trip to "Burg to find out (though there's always a good reason to go down there!). If it ever makes it to the airwaves, it'll be the second time 101.7 will have served the Hattiesburg area. Up until the mid-90s, WKNZ Collins was on the frequency until moving to 107.1 (and allowed 101.7 Gluckstadt to expand).
