WZHR

I'm thinking the money ran out as they're back with brokered programming. The website continues to be automatically updated, but there may have been a (financial) rapture and everyone is gone.

Now that I'm hearing about all the brokered radio on 620 (the newspaper boys, one of whom up until a few weeks ago, didn't think much of sportsradio..but I'll let that go) and 1010...maybe its time to find out how this TanTalk thing works

How much is it for one hour? Or is the total broken down over a long term contract?

Seriously...1400 isn't a bad signal for this local area...and we need some local programming.

The problem is that there is no local programming on WZHR. It's rebroadcasting WTAN and what you hear on WZHR you can hear on WDCF. Both studios are housed in the same building. There is no local advertising from Zephyrhills or Dade City. If you were to poll East Pasco you might be surprised to find that many people have no idea there are AM radio stations in the area. I am willing to guess that WZPH-LP in Z-hills has a greater audience than WZHR/WDCF combined. Just a guess. :)

I wouldn't be surprised to hear another format on WZHR soon... I'm pretty sure the simulcast of WDCF/WTAN is only temporary. ;)

I think they should simulcast their Hawaii station KWAI. Might be a little confusing with the 6 hour time difference though. Just call Lola O'Brian, the Hawaiian broadcast queen!

I would love to hear the old Hawaii Calls program again. As host Webley Edwards once said: "As the sun pulls away from the shore and our ship sinks slowly in the West, we bid a fond Aloha.........." :D

Funny.
