WZID HD-2

I turned on my HD Radio onto WZID this morning. Where the radio usually says NH's 95.7 WZID, there was the words HD Radio. Now, I knew that WZID has been HD for a while, but I have never seen these words before. Then, an HD-2 Symbol came up and I turned on the station's new HD-2 channel. It was silent, but I bet wiin the coming weeks it will come on with programming.

This could explain why Saga upgraded the 103.1 simulcast of WZID (formerally a simulcast of WMLL) and the 94.1 simulcast of WMLL to 250 watts. If Saga creates an HD-2 channel for WZID, then they could simulcast it onto these two transaltors, giving the station coverage on non-HD radios in Concord and Manchester.

That has to be what's going on here, especially that Saga has done just this in other markets. But what format would they put on a new low-powered frequency in the market? Looks like they've done CHR and AAA elsewhere - wonder what could be in store for Manchester/Concord with 103.1 and 94.1?

I sent an E-mail to the operations manager of WZID so if i get a reply on it i'll post it here. I've to been picking up a HD-2 Signal For WZID. I bet the HD-2 format if they get one will probably be an 80's format.

I think that one of the HD subchannels will be 80s (like the 80s show on Saturday nights) and the other subchannel will be a simulcast of WFEA-AM.
