WZID "Oh-wow" Song/Weekend

I've been listening to WZID all weekend because of this great "oh-wow" thing they're doing. I know they usually play an "oh-wow" song every day at 12:00 PM, and then again at 5:00 PM. And they have played some great songs that I haven't heard in years. But the question is: How often do they play these songs as part of their "oh wow" song every day? Do they always play the same ones? Because some of the "oh wow" songs I've heard this weekend get played quite frequently by other radio stations, most notably Magic 106.7 in Boston. I've heard "She Works Hard For the Money" by Donna Summer, "1999" by Prince, and "I Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty played as "oh wow" songs, and I think Magic plays those songs every day almost.

I'm always amazed to hear songs like that on WZID since in my mind I still associate them with soggy dreck like Celine Dion, Peabo Bryson and the like. Maybe I'm just getting old, but WZID sounds better and better as time goes by though I could live quite nicely without Delilah.

I don't consider either the Prince or Tom Petty songs to be particularly "oh wow"...fairly standard AC fare these days, though I doubt Donna Summer is in regular rotation on either WZID or Magic...that one just shouts "special weekend track".

"Oh Wow" - Isn't terrestrial radio becoming more and more dull? Is this the best they can do? Yawn. It's time to start having fun again. It's time for bosses to quit saying things like 'you should be happy you have a job in radio.' Talent is leaving. The music is boring. Wake up. I have loved this medium since the age of 5 and it has never been this dull.

I am having fun on the air...I hear others having fun on the air (because there are many true pros), but where is the excitement? Where is true variety? Where can you hear different songs? Online I guess.
