WZJZ is a really good example of a nice sounding SJ

I was listening over an hour last night to WZJZ 100.1 and was very pleased with the musical selection. I have always liked this station from the time they were at 107.1. It's one of the best SJ stations I have ever heard as far as music goes. I hope they will never flip as I would be very sad to see it go. This is how all smooth jazz stations should sound, then there wouldn't be that much change in format.

Are you sure you have your call letters right?...WZJZ 100.1 is a BA affiliate...absolutely nothing new or innovative about their/BA's musical programming...I think I'll take a pass on WZJZ 100.1.

If WZJZ weren't CC they'd have flipped by now. Look at the radio-info.com ratings. 1.6 12+ and 19th most listened to in the market. And all BA execpt for the mid-day PD. You must have heard BA experimenting with some good music that hour maybe, icycool. If WLVE West Palm Beach weren't CC they'd be gone too. Look at the radio-info ratings there. All BA except for middayer Stephanie Bromfield. "The Smoothest Place on the Dial"? What's a dial? And if it's 93.9 why is it Love 94? Of course I know the answers to those questions. But those into the digital age are probably scratching their heads about those dated "analog" radio references.

WZJZ Ft Myers???? They play Smooth Jazz? Last time I was down there they were playing Toni Braxton, Earth Wind and Fire, Eurythmics, and Spandau Ballet. Oh, they did play Kenny G. ???

They used to be a good sounding station back 3 - 4 years ago? Girl Randi ? sounded great with the tunes. Read somewhere the wheels were falling off their wagon?

Nock

They were better when they were 'Dream 98.5'. Almost all local talent, and (for awhile anyway) not BA'ed to death.
