WZKX history

It was an easy listening station out of Poplarville. Dowdy bought 107 if I remember right and did some type of horse trading for 108 as it had more power. Don't remember the calls though.
 
Dowdy jokes about it now. From day one Dowdy could have had a big power station but because most of the signal is lost over the Gulf, he purposely opted for less power to save on the electric bill.

You remember the time we took a "radio safari" to WRPM? You had to drive through a junkyard to get there, as I recall.
