WZMJ is now Z93 The Lake, The Sound of the Freshwater Coast

If I remember correctly here's how the last few songs went...

Somebody That I Used To Know-Gotye
Time For Me To Fly-REO Speedwagon
God Only Knows-Beach Boys
It Will Rain-Bruno Mars
Afternoon Delight-Starland Vocal Band
Trying To Live My Life Without You-Bob Seger

So...what are we going to classify this as?

It feels to me like a 2012 version of what a full service AC would play. As much of a train wreck it looks like on paper, it flows really well when you are listening to it. I guess if you wanted to reflect Lexington musically, this would be it. I am looking forward to them adding full service elements.

They're going to have to.
I agree with Whopper. It's a limited demo to begin with, that playlist alone won't draw anyone in. But, they've got the staff, though, to really pull off 'small town radio' success.

I kinda like what they're doing. Mike and Richard just make have found a legitimate available niche of a listening audience. And, no, they aren't going after monster ratings...they're going after money, and the upper end demo that The Lake seems to appeal to is well oiled with it. I spoke with Mike this morning and I like his mindset and approach. This'll be fun to watch develop.
