WZMR Imaging

Since its inception WZMR's imaging has far surpassed the stodgy and stale imaging of any of the "rock-type" stations in this area...so what do you mean by stepping up...The imaging has been done by the same 2 guys who, dare I say, are the funniest and most creative of the areas producution guys....talented both on air and behind the scenes.....

As an aside what made you think that the imaging had become so much better all of a sudden, If I may be so bold as to ask.

Oh don't get me wrong, whoever is doing it, is doing a great job. I'm just saying, it sounds like ZMR stepped up a bit from last year. Imaging sounds tighter, more produced, more thought given into it than just, "Let's put this sfx next to this one with an effect on the voice and that should be good!" Didn't mean any disrespect by my post. I just noticed something different when I got into my car yesterday morning. Not sure who is responsible for the improved sound, but kudos to whoever it is. Makes listening a bit more enjoyable.

I never liked that annoying voice guy from the liners.
Music's gotten better too.
I believe Ralphie is an assistant production director so congrats. No one EVER knows who the real talented ppl are at their local radio stations.

Actually, the Imaging is done out of House now. Ralph And Steve Do a great Job there, But handling 6 stations is a big job for two guys. I actually Signed on a Guy named "Fletch" to do the WZMR imaging back in April of this year, and revamped the station imaging from the ground up. Fletch is a true pro who has worked at 98 Rock in Tampa, The Edge in Dallas, and KISW in seattle, and imaged them all along the way. I gave fletch my blessing to keep working with WZMR when I left, and glad that he's making a difference.

That Fletch and Nik Rivers are TRUE PROFESSIONALS.

Besides, No one in Albany has that kind of talent.
Nobody.

Not one person.

Fletch is amazing - and many could / can learn lots from him...

However the reality is that after Nik left we purged most of the imaging that Fletch did (beatmix id's, etc) and the stuff running is either from when the station launched, or imaging that was altered by Ralph, Mike, and Myself plus all three of us produced a massive amount of replacement imaging.

Right now a lot of the promos and some of the imaging is from Fletch. If it all were we'd (or should I say they) be the best imaged in the market!

Nik - it was indeed nice of you to let the station keep the services of Fletch and I'm sure I'm not the only one that is (was) thankful for that.

Either way - I'm out the door and it isn't a station I am part of anymore.

Stan, thanks for the kind words....

Dariwn, Best of luck with the new adventure...I'd say were both in better places now...

I think I heard of this Fletch guy. If it's the same dude I'm thinking of, he is pretty good. Solid imaging from what I heard. I think they featured him on an imaging site awhile ago. Super nice guy. Heard from a buddy in radio he got in a bad accident skiing or snowmobiling or something. Hope he's doing well. Does he have a myspace or facebook page at all? Would like to hear some of his other stuff he's done.

Darwin, we're going to miss you man. Thanks for making my stupid drive to work a bit more enjoyable. Best of luck to you whereever you end up. Keep us posted on this thing where you land.

Hey Nik - thank you for the well wishes! We're both on to better things for both of us! Alternative is where we live man.

I will miss everyone there though, but that's how it goes.

Thanks for the well wishes from you too Mr. Azz - if you check FMQB or Allaccess or R&R you'll see where I'm going. I start on Monday morning.
