WZMX 93.7 VS WTIC 1080-AM - yikes!

This afternoon I caught the governor's press conference on Entercom's Hot 93.7 WZMX and WTIC 1080-AM. On 93.7 is was crystal clear. On 1080-AM the audio sounded like crap. Almost like bad cell phone quality. Is that because WTIC broadcasts with IBOC?


Unrelated. Full Power Radio's 102.9 The Whale was airing the press conference from co-owned The Talk of Connecticut WDRC 1360/103.3 FM.
