Kinda hate to see Z94.3 possibly change, I enjoy it when the signal drifts into Porter County. Kind of a Drive-like mix (97.1 The Drive, Chicago). But Z94.3 goes a little older at times, which is fine by me. Seeing that Mid-West Family has Rock 107 WIRX in MI, I'm assuming they'll simulcast that station, or at least the format, on 94.3. The call sign change took effect on December 13th.

South Bend WZOC Call Change To WYRX

I checked Wikipedia (although they could be wrong) they are not sister stations but may be owned by the same company. If the two were to simulcast, it might give a clearer signal to South Bend. I grew up in that area and WIRX always came in like a rimshot (it is one) - then again so is 94.3 but that station always came in better for me.
“Owned by the same company” is the textbook definition of sister stations.
WZOC began simulcasting WIRX earlier this evening. Bob & Tom evidently will now air on both stations. Greg Beharrell's voicetracks now air in evenings on both stations (listening online now), so I take it Live 99.9 is now doing something different in that slot?
WIRX seems to be playing far less music from the past 15 years and relying more heavily on gold now, with 90s seemingly being the preferred decade. Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden have all aired in the past 90 minutes. I've heard 1 current, no recurrents, and no 2010s songs. The only 2000s song is Faint by Linkin Park. Several 80s or late 70s songs have played.
WIRX sounds watered down now from both a music and imaging standpoint; that's disappointing to me. They had been one of the best sounding Rock stations in Michigan for the past 10 to 15 years.

Well it's safe to say that South Bend has no Classic Hits.
