People whine about WZZO playing too much Rush but that is the least of their problems. I actually like RUSH and was enjoying New World Man on 95 this morning. The problem with WZZO is Creed, Nickelback, and other similar garbage. And, let Stei play the Smiths! After all Morrissey is playing Philly and AC this coming week. Give Bob Stei the green light to play the Smiths or Morrissey tommorrow!
 
i think ZZO is taking their better signal for granted and are not worried about the bone, but i was in a store in Allentown the other day and the guy behind the counter had the bone blasting and a big long wire hanging up to the ceiling off the antenna of the boom box. being a radio geek i laughed and mentioned to him that he's sure going through a lot of trouble to pick up the bone. he said hell yea this station is so much better than ZZO and all his friends have switched to the bone.
 
Very true! But the Bone wont play Morrissey either. Aside from that however the word on the streets is that the Bone is better!
 
yeah! you are right morrissey is the answer!! that will def get pete from macungie that loves jackyl all fired up!!!
 
Is Jackyl the most overrated band out there? What is this fascination with Jackyl? Just another hair metal-Zeppelin clone. I have been long perplexed by this regional adoration of Jackyl. They gave tickets away to one of their croc rock shows and some woman sounded ogasmic when she was the winner. Im at a loss. What is the big deal about some long haired freak with a chainsaw? Can someone please explain Jackyll to me. Pete from Macungie could probably benefit from hearing Morrissey or even a band like the Kaiser Chiefs. I wish some of these LV caveman would start liking some cool music. I've heard enough about this Jackyl! Survey says- they suck!

i hate jackyl...they were the perfect example though...the point is ...the fictional "pete" core ZZO listener in
his black t shirt does not need anyone to tell him he needs to listen to morrissey or kaiser chiefs ...its ZZO's job to cater to their listener ... not change them
 
So... Did you guys go to the Morrissey show? And was Stei there?
 
He was there! I have it on high authority. I wish I could have went. Money is a problem these days. I hope to go to see Crowded House in a few weeks. They are back together. One of the most underrated bands ever! CH will air on WGPA tommorrow night.

and where will crowded house be playing? the police were tremendous last week in philly btw.
 
i would'nt say WZZO sucks, but The Bone is definitly a better station, i was at dorney park today and the signal was PERFECTLYloud and clear in the whole area until i got about 8 miles past the allentown service plaza. the music was great and few commercials, which i must say ZZO is pretty good with keeping the commercials to a minimum. well, anyway while i was arriving at the park The Bone used what i guess is a tag line. the exact phrase "ZZO Thinks This Rocks: (A Clip From No Sugar Tonight From The Guess Who Was Played), Well We Think ZZO Blows This Is the New 107 The Bone". Great sounding tagline except its kind of wrong to say ZZO "blows" but eh whatever. and as for the signal issue... yea the bones signal sucks, but so does ZZO's, just not as badly. and WODE's Signal stinks as well, which is another one of my personal favorites.
 
yeah that's the only thing i don't agree with. don't bash zzo so much. you're only giving them more free advertising. focus on what you do right rather than what the competition does wrong.
 
The Mann Music Center sometime in August. Im really thinking of going.
