Something has been going on with X 98.5’s signal over the last week or so. It’s full of static on Woodruff Rd, even near Stone Ave and it’s not even receivable around Mauldin and Simpsonville. Anyone else noticed? It sounds like they’re running at very low power. Since I listen from time to time I shot them a Facebook message but haven’t heard anything. It’s worth noting Summit doesn’t really maintain the GSP stations’ social media anymore except for an occasional post from Jamz. Not much activity from X, Hot, or Star in quite a while (other than the Murphy, Sam, and Jodi posts on Star’s page that somehow get automatically posted from the main MSJ page).

X 98.5 signal issues

I had thought about making a post about this myself. I drive up and down 85 a lot and usually can pick it up pretty well across most of the Upstate but the past couple of weeks I can only hear it in a small area. Seemed like it started around the time of the ice storm so I wondered if it was related to that. Really leaves a void in the dial for me because we don't have many options these days.
