X-Factor Fan Favorite Rachel Crow gets the boot

Crow has received the lowest number of votes after The Judges were deadlocked with their decision who gets eliminate. Crow and Marcus Canty were in the bottom 2, and they had to sing for survival. So, The audience booed as Nicole Scherzinger casted her vote for Rachel Crow, as she left the studio quickly. On the other hands big thins to happen for Rachel because in addition to a huge bathroom she has promised, Crow has also signed a $10 million deal with Nickelodeon to star in her own show on Nick.

What a travesty! nicole should be ashamed of herself, what a coward. having said that, i have watched the 1st season of this show and i am disappointed. it seems to be MORE about the "Judges" and their "Groups" than the "Talent". i really don't care which judges talent wins, i care more about these kids, and rachael seemed to get caught up in the "Politics" & in-fighting of the judges. i think the so called "Mentoring" and meddling of these judges has done more harm than good to the talent. i'm actually a simon cowell fan but this show is just not as good as "Idol" and "Idol" is not as good without him.

Of course Nicole wants to push her talent forward. I'm not surprised that all the judges have conflict of interests. But remember on past seasons of the Cowell/Abdul era of Idol they had some issues too that Jennifer Hudson was booted out of Idol even though she was an audience favorite.
But I think X-Factor is here to stay and Idol is dead because people will follow where Cowell goes in doing a talent show series.

I think the reason that Rachel Crow got booted was because of "voter apathy" among the viewing public. It's entirely possible viewers assume that a contestant like Rachel is so popular, so well-liked, that there's no reason to vote for her because everyone else will.

I think Rachel Crow was the most likable contestant -- kind of a 21st century Shirley Temple -- and because of that I think it's almost a blessing in disguise for her that she got voted off the show. Had she won the show, she would have received a recording contract. I wouldn't go buy a Rachel Crow album, but I would most definitely be interested in seeing her in a movie or TV show, and that's where I think her strengths will be.

I'm not a big fan of Marcus. It seems him and most contestants on these talent shows refuse to stick to the melody and insist on constant runs, vocal gymnastics, octave jumps and other embellisments that are considered by many to be in poor taste. It also looks like the contestants are being messed up by too much producer tinkering. I think the mentors and voice "coaches" are often doing more harm than good. What they do is try to mold the singer into what THEY think they should be. By "putting them in a box" They keep telling them to "make it their own" but at the same time, you still wind up with a cookie cutter. If a contestant refuses to tow the line then the judges start dumping on them. It's frustrating to watch. There is no way I would ever agree to compete on one of these shows. It would be way too much headache.
