Agreed!!!
Although, I'm not so sure a pure active rock PC feed exists anymore. Look at WZRX in Lima as an example. They air the same PC feed as WIOT in Toledo (also used by WEBN during overnights). It can best be described as a blend of active rock, 90's alternative, and vintage rock. Typical music set could include Metallica, Green Day, Def Leppard, Sublime, ZZ Top, and Breaking Benjamin.
A year ago, WZRX was very much an active rock station (featuring a pretty impressive playlist), with maybe 1 classic rock track and 1 90's alternative track an hour.
103.9 should've stuck with what worked. How damn hard is it to load songs onto a digital storage system?!! Locally programmed music w/ voicetracks would've been a far better option than simply using a homogenized log from premium choice.
Stupid...stupid...stupid.
If Click 101.5 were smart, they'd ditch the Modern AC format and pick up the Active Rock format that 103.9 abandoned. (Would also be a GREAT option for 95.3!)
I wonder how many of X's disgruntled listeners have changed their allegiance and are now 96Rock P1s?
