I thoght X1067 was a classic rock? I heard them saying the other day we're better than jack or something like that.
 
Pretty ballsy move. Jack is doing extremely well...

I think Jack does well mostly because it plays established music only, and it leans more male than female.

It is a male sounding Magic to me.

I do not like the rock product they play...for the most part.

I would like to know if the TSL is pretty low on that station also, as the music genre changes almost within any given quarter hour.

It seems CUME would be good, but TSL might be a problem. It is oft times hard to please all at once.

Just when the station gets rolling (music wise) they take a sharp turn left or right.

Thoughts? If you can make them without making Landis mad.
 
A couple things....

Any station with the Jack or Bob or whatever format that plays pretty much whatever they want it is not unheard of for them to play music that seems to go together then run into a song that makes it seem as if they took that left or right turn as you mentioned. It is pretty common in my opinion with that type of format. Now if you took any ol' format and did the same it would be a problem. The play whatever they want format can get away with it.

In a PPM world... the bottom line is getting those people with meters to tune in. I would agree it is def hard to please everyone.... but what station or format doesn't run into that issue?
 
In the PPM metering...is there a TSL measure?...I need to attend some more ARB classes online. LOL.

I get the whole...we play what we want and UNFORMAT....formats....being able to mix genres...it is just so many trainwrecks in my ears...even within this JACK,BOB,ALICE, ETC...JAZZ.

Perhaps...though...I have been consulted beyond repair...LOL.

I have found that if you talk to 3 consultants often (competitors themselves) they have 180 degree opinons on many if not all things...IE No two females back to back...saying calls last thing into a stopset etc..etc..

I def prefer KTFM to Jack. I am in no way typical, nor target for KTFM. I am tarnished.

I would have liked to hear Landis...roll full blown Alternative with a dance lean in SA. Instead of what he did do. I know he has mad skills though.

It is so easy to armchair QB in radio and football. BTW...Lebron James a lock in Miami or not? What do you think? And are you ready for ShaqANTONIO?
