What? SDradio is not onto this yet? Hey, Chris-Dawg, yer slackin, dude!

(finding some very interesting info just pokin' around but nothing confirmed. Will post when that happens)

Finally, some excitement in San Diego!

Duke Dawg

Click on their player link and you can listen to them online. Very good Flash-based website: so much nicer than the cluttered garbage Clear Channel puts up. Just a brief listen reminds of the kind of energy 91X used to have before it became a sick, tired dinosaur.

Binational is the former owner of XHRM....which at one time was the Flash as I'm sure you recall.

I spoke with them on Friday about the internet broadcast. Yes, they are in the famous Flash/Magic studios in beautiful National City (try the Denny's next door).

I'm in town all this month as my main paying job had me on travel (and also I went to Kansas for recovery work in Greensburg).

Stay Tuned.

Ok, I'm a bit confused (as usual):

I thought Bi-National Broadcasting was DBA set up by CC for 92.5, which was later taken over by FCB? So if they aren't, who are they now? is Bi-National a seperate company without a station? Could somebody please explain? It doesn't make any sense to me, what am I missing?

Is it just a coincidence that X1FM has a very similar look to 91X... The 'Freedom of Music' with the stripes of 2 shades of red with the flag man looks a lot like 91X' latest sticker.

What's Mike G doing these days (just a thought)?

Sure, 'cause the 3 modern rockers that San Diego already has is not enough.

They just completely updated the site and it looks pretty awesome. I hear they are looking at some high profile SD talent too. Interesting.

I don't know much about the operation itself, but the stream is very enjoyable. It's a Euro and local friendly Alt/Modern format. Reminds me of the spirit of earlier days before consolidation and nu-metal took over alt radio. It would be awesome if operations like this were successful and stayed online as live, listener interactive streaming audio.
