XDS Recieve into Broadcast Audio ACS 8.2 Plus

I understand the relays and what pins they should be connected to. what I dont understand is in what order do they go into the GPIO (PIPs) inputs of the ACS 8.2 Plus? Sure I have the diagram. Im wondering if anyone here also uses these tools together and if you can help.

Thank you in advance!
Egon

It all depends on your scenario, there is no "set way" of wiring this up. I would expect you would set up a closure to go to and from your automation and one for legal ID, one for Local breaks ect..
What type of automation are you using and what I/O interface do you have for it, or are you utilizing the ACS with the automation for I/O?

What automation system are you using? The PIP input is used to trigger a serial string output that the automation will decode into which PIP fired, and based on your trigger list, perform the desired function.

The PIP inputs are unbalanced and use a common ground, so you could wire the 11 PIPs with 12-conductor wire, but you'd have to tie the "common" on each XDS relay together on the receiver end. Typically you only need 2 or 3 per network. You could use 9451 and get both the local break and liner triggers on the one wire. Make sure SW17-10 is ON. The top row are relay closures as outputs. I use them to send a closure to the network for the local break when we simulcast in multiple markets using a Barix box.

Give us more specifics, and we'll give you a more specific answer.
