XHMOR Ratings

XHMOR seems to stay at the lowest of all X stations. :-\ It seems a shame with the powerful coverage they have in San Diego (one of the stronger Tijuana stations). I assume they must be selling well if they are staying with the Spanish Rock format. When it was Blazin I think their ratings were in the 2 shares which seems signifigantly higher than now but from what I understand they couldn't get the advertisers? And ESPN they couldn't afford the subscription fees?

They are focusing on the Tijuana market, not San Diego. Tijuana is a Top 10 market in Mexico, and since Mexico is not in a recession, ad revenues are growing there. The use the Mexican INRA ratings for sales purposes, not Arbitron.

However, even in INRA, the rock format does not do very well. Spanish language rock is only successful in one place, and that is Argentina. But they do well enough to sustain the station, I guess.
