First Doc, Now Grace is out of the morning show.
Rumor has it she quit leaving Johnny to carry the show.
XL needs a make over real real bad!
 
It's time for a new show, don't you think? Any suggestions?
 
While I am sorry to see Doc and Grace go, I must admit I am still enjoying the show.

I like the addition of 'Jade' although I think she is still a temp with the show. Brian says a lot of things that make me laugh and I like the music.

Johnny indicated when Grace and Doc left that he wanted management to give him a chance with the show. I think he is doing an okay job and just needs a little time to get into the right groove.

As a listener, I like what I hear from all of them and am willing to give them a chance.
 
And get real, that show is a mess. I mean horrifying. That new PD, should be ashamed he puts that on. They went from relavent, to ......." hey, how do we get love bugs off our cars? " really? Thats good? Grace and Doc left, dont you think something is brewing?
 
The morning show on XL has been terrible for the last 10 years. The show as it stands now with Johnny and whoever else is trying hard but it won't be enough to keep CC from syndicating another morning show by the end of summer. That's easier than actually finding someone to bring in. Sad state of radio that Orlando can't have a local morning show on their big CHR.
 
Tampa board says MJ - aka todd schnitt - will soon replace Johnny magic on XL 106.7 morning show......too bad CC doesn't replace dan sileo.

i would say, that show was never bad, until all the defections. And the big mystery isn't when MJ takes it, because we all know he just signed off on it, but why did the main people jump? and where are they going?
If Doc and Grace left, why would Johnny stay, unless he thought he could do it, but get real. It could be, they asked him to stay until they flip on MJ, cause it's all over the air in other markets he just grabbed Orlando. Do you think CC has been honest with Johnny and told him yet? I would think, if they have, he would have bailed too. Maybe he has another gig in the company.

You've gotta post jobs for EOE rules and regs. A few weeks ago I heard some ex-WAPE jocks were being looked at for the gig, since the Doc & Johnny blowout has been in the works for awhile.
Just rumors, though.
 
I see nothing on the board saying Schnitt (MJ) would replace the current XL morning show. It was SUGGESTED by a poster which is an entirely different thing.

If there is a specific post that indicates he will be coming to XL, please post a link or some other reference.

Speaking of the APE, whatever happened to that morning show when they quit?

quiting CC seems to be popular these days, but i never heard where they ended up

Steve, Eden, & Amadeus were at Cox Jacksonville and left of their own will. Guys like Cat Thomas, David Moore, Scott Walker, and Mike Cella were shown the door.
I think the old Zoo's still around the market and their non-compete ends the middle of June ... I've seen Steve & Amadeus at a few concerts and some clubs around town, too.
If they opted for XL, wouldn't something have happened by now since it's outside the Jax Metro?
 
Yes, it's a fact. Just not made public. I heard the conversation here in the castle today. The posting was made by legal,for the job. MJ is taking Mornings in Orlando. It's not my station, and i dont think MJ is that good, but they let the only chance they had walk away. When the book came out, the deal was done. And it's a shame, because there wont be any local CHR anymore. At least until they can get the i's dotted and the t's crossed. That could take a bit.
