XL 106.7

I like the new logo a lot. It doesn't incorporate the cliche oval that EVERY logo uses these days. I wish I could say I liked the direction of the music but I'd be lying. They have been playing some really old hits like Lenny Kravits and Dave Matthews Band. I'd much rather hear currents. Where is the new Rooney, Click Five, Mark Ronson..man, anything current instead of crap I can hear on that insufferable MIX station.

Didn't go and look at it yet. But don't compare anything you feel isn't good to Y-100 down the road until you check out their ratings. Rod Phillips has brought that station back from the dead and put it on a 100 mph treadmill....I've never seen a bigger turnaround. Congrats to all at Y-100!!!

"Comes across HOT AC" to---who? Do you think listeners look at a logo and say, "gee, I thought they were CHR but that logo definitely feels more HOT AC".

Answer: no, never.

Y100 is certainly on a fantastic upswing, and I congratulate them - always been a fan. However, has the new logo been around long enough to really affect the ratings anyway? I'm not in-market there (or in Orlando for that matter), and maybe they know something I don't. I still contend that both logos are rather cheap-looking to my eyes, but I honestly doubt that a listener is going to turn off a radio station because their logo isn't hot.

Hmmm...Well...that ugly [EDIT] looking turkey that WJRR uses makes me want to delete them from my presets everytime I see it. Yuck.

[EDIT-vulgar]

WJRR has been using the "Vuljrr" for many years. They dropped it for a while when they re-imaged themselves a few years back as real rock 101 1, but brought it back when they started using their call letters more often again.

There website looks like a rock station theme site, because it's really black and grey. It's alright but it looks like a rock-style clear channel website like 98 rock in tampa. And what's with the "XL 106.7fm part.?
