I will be switching to XM. Memphis radio has lost another one. I gave the Doc a chance and I had high hopes for Drake and the Max. I used to like AC-DC, but now hearing them almost every time I turn on the Max, plus the fact that I'm hearing Skid Row and every other worthless band from the 80's. The bottom is I heard a station at 106.5 with a lousy signal I could barley pick it up. It sounded great! I heard Hendrix "All along the watchtower", 2+2 by Seagar, and "Walk On Gilded Splinters by Humble Pie, in one set. The jock wasn't loud or trying to be funny, but actually talked about the artists and the music. They never said the call letters or who they were. I tried searching the web for an album station at 106.5 on the Internet, no luck. Then I heard them say XM 40. What a way to get listeners to switch, feed your sat signal over fm. I'm sure it's accident. I never thought I would pay for radio, but with the choices left in Memphis, I'm sold.
 
I've had XM for about 6 months now. A good live and local station could bring me back, and I do listen to the FM 100 weekends. But as long as you get voicetracked bland prgramming on local radio, why not listen to XM without the commercials? Plus, the decades channels don't seem to be limited by some rule that says you have to recycle the same 200 songs.

what happened to 1000 songs or more in a playlist? out with the 80's?

xm 40 deep tracks is a great station..btw that was someone probably using their skyfi 2 or roady 2..both have fm transmitters. both have several frequencies to choose from including 106.5..<P ID="signature">______________

Deep Tracks on 40 is a good station and I myself listen to Top Tracks on 46 alot. I have been stranded in Memphis for the past 2 months due to the hurricane and have been listening to my XM radio quite a bit as the local radio radio has left me feeling very flat.
