XM 31 The Torch

As of April 17 The Torch will be no more on XM. "Exclusively" on Direct TV bla bla bla. I sent in my complaint and received this canned response:

"Thank you for contacting XM Satellite Radio.

We appreciate all our subscribers comments and suggestions. We have
forwarded your suggestions and programming concerns to our Programming
Department for review and consideration. Please feel free to contact
Programming at [email protected] regarding the schedules and
programming on XM.

If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to send an
additional email or you may contact a Listener Care Representative directly at
1-800-XM RADIO (800-967-2346). For commercial accounts, please contact
1-888-689-2300 or view the Frequently Asked Questions at
commercial.xmradio.com."

Unless XM wants to pay for Direct TV for me...I'll be kicking them to the curb on April 17...and getting Sirius.

You will love Sirius. They give you the following:

Spirit channel 66 (Awesome)(Nothing too hard or too soft)
Revolution channel 67 (Has it's good moments) (Rocks real hard)
Praise channel 68 (Has some good moments) (Plays mostly Choirs and Traditional Black Gospel)

While both of these artists have indeed chosen not to identify themselves as "Christian bands" (because really, only people can be Christians, not guitars)...I hope you aren't inferring that they are not Christians?

I totally agreed about the gospel comment! :)

Re: XM 31 The Torch/ The bands

" no im refering to scott saying creed was not a christian

Ok - my take:
Both mentioned do not call themselves Christian bands. NOT ONE OF US knows their personal relationship with God and how He views them. Their lyrics reflect a lot of God.
Have you read the speech that Bono did at the Presidential Prayer breakfast? He certainly was prophetic in some of the things he stated. Scott Stapp is the product of a legalistic household and struggles against the view of God He was raised to know(conditional love) and the real view of God He wants to have a relationship with.(unconditional love)
(Scott Stapp did that sex video in the 90's by the way, most of us have pasts that we wouldn't want others to see).
Bono & Scott are not the best examples, one thing to keep in mind though is that they probably stand out (and I'm speaking more of Bono right now) among the influences they deal with in Hollywood and in the secular music industry, both have a heart for God...didn't David also have that same heart and I believe he killed, committed adultery, disobeyed God's commands - should I bring this up?

Got it. That makes more sense. Both have stated they are not "Christian" bands.

Along with many other talented artists...there is a thread we might consider....

;)

Well... if we're talking hearts...

Mine is pretty ugly.

I absolutely love Jesus.

But I've got my secret and out in the open sins too...along with every human alive.

There is life. There is death. There is perishing. There is once was.

But, this is a radio board...so, I'll just leave it at that unless we can tie it into broadcasting. ;)<P ID="signature">______________

You confirmed pretty much the direction I was going which I wrote before you did(going in circles here). What I wrote wasn't anymore off topic than your reply.

Um...I'm sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about here?

I replied to smashedcd. Didn't even reference your post here.

Just confirmed a post I made and his reply...really have no idea what these last two posts from you are about in regards to this?

Re: off topic

It was referenced to me (check it out) with "off topic" and you posted something about hearts and ended with: "this is a radio board...so, I'll just leave it at that unless we can tie it into broadcasting. ;)"
