XM and Sirius Merger What urban channels will survive?

Over all I believe Sirius does a better job of programming hip-hop and rhythmic especially backspin and hot jamz and XM does better with R&B with stations like Soul Street and Suite 62 and The Power talk station. I wish they would bring back The Flow 61. (A VH1 Soul/Neo-Soul type station is missing from both services)

The major cuts of course will be in the elimination of the multiple smooth jazz, jazz, blues and gospel channels that both XM and Sirius have.

...or will it be only a matter of time when satellite radio will cease to exist

What do y'all think?

XM by far has the better Classic Soul station. When they first went on the air Sirius had the best one with the deepest playlist. The situation is now reversed. Unfortunately, they will probably get rid of the XM one and keep the Sirius one.
