Hi-i have the xmoombox-battery questio boobox and i have it hooked up to ac power at work-however,-on the weekends-i bring it home for use at the beach-and have replaced the batteries very frequentely-they seen to only last for 5-6 hours-using energizer batteries-does anyone have any kind of advise for a really good-long-lasting battery??-perhaps a rechargeable??

yes its true..and somehow, i cant explain this.the batteries even go dead if the box is off! you have to take them out in order to keep them fresh. go to the beach, listen, leave, take the batteries out. i dont put the batteries in mine till i'm ready to use it. oh yea buy recharble batteries. that will help also.
