Why not have a Holiday Channel... now playing the sound of Halloween. Thanksgiving songs after that. MLK songs in late January. And so on.

Hmm.. Don't know of too many Thanksgiving songs (though they could play Alice's Restaurant for that month).. or even MLK songs... Some holidays just dont have music for them.

There's that Adam Sandler song about the turkey. Plus "Over the River & Thru The Woods." For MLK... "We Shall Overcome"?

For MLK day, there was that hip hop/R&B song in the 80's called "King Holiday" by the King Dream Chorus. Also for MLK you could play "In the Name of Love" by U2, "Abraham, Martin, and John" by Dion, and maybe "Black and White" by Three Dog Night, and "The Way it Is" by Bruce Hornsby, just to think of a few.
For Thanksgiving, the Adam Sandler parody song and "Alice's Restaurant" are about the only two I can think of.

Is this on-line? AOL? it's different on the actual radio signals--
Sunny 24 will be Holiday Traditions,
the Heart 23 will be Holly,
Nashville 11 will be A Nashville Christmas,
and Chrome 83 will be Special X-mas.

That may be a bad link. Thanksgiving is Nov 24th this year, not 25th. Maybe they are dedicating channels to holiday music this year.

I agree---the Chicago special on the 70's channel ran last Christmas Eve-- and Sari (the host mentioned in the Chicago promo) is not longer employed by XM.

XM is creating a Holiday Music Neighborhood, the channels will be 103-107, but to accomplish this, they are doing away with 31, 82, 95, and 113 until after Christmas. (does this affect online too?)

Holly - 103
Holiday Traditions 104
Nashville Christmas - 105
Classical Christmas - 106
Special X-Mas - 107

No it shouldn't affect channels online because they don't have bandwith issues online like they do on the sats.
