Apologies if this has been mentioned already...

Got an email from XM. Offering radios, vehicle kit, free activation, and free shipping. Need to sign up for a 6 month subscription.

Radios ranged from the Roady at $30, the SkyFi2 at $50, the MyFi at $99 (sold out though).

Got me to sign up for it, and got my girlfriend to agree to buy it for me.

Thanks to all you here for the encouragement when I asked before. I will soon be the proud owner of a SkyFi2!!!

That's what I heard, and one reason i went with it.

Further, I got ANOTHER email offer, also from XM two days later: one radio free (Roady-like), and the SkiFi2 was down to $30. Of course, my girlfriend had already bought at $50. Bastards! :)

Do you also take the free cellphone your wireless carrier should pay you to take?
Of course not.
You will use the radio for a long time.
Don't worry about saving a few ¢ents per week over the life of the radio.
You are going to be bitching that you should have gotten the better one.
Compare the models and choose the one you like best.
If you can get a deal on that model, all the better.<P ID="signature">______________
