XM Lifetime Subscription

Only if it comes with a guarantee of a 50% refund when they begin running commercials, no questions asked.
A lifetime sub should also come with a radio.

"Lifetime" is such an interesting concept. Your lifetime? Or the lifetime of sat radio?

In one of the TV trades this week they were asking analysts, in light of the Tribune BK filing, who is next on the list. Guess who was mentioned? If you give your money to Sirius/XM, make sure you don't need it back.

I'm content to just keep getting the bargain renewal every year. You do know about that, don't you?

How much is this Lifetime Sub?

not going to be worth a hill of beans... Sirius XM have to pay 2 billion dollars back in loans in 2009

My wife called Sirius/XM the other day and got about 9 bucks knocked off our bill because we threatened to cancel our subscription. We got that rate locked in for 12 months I believe. We did not lose any channels and with the return of Backspin, it might be worth it.

Well, this is interesting....

I called XM Listener Care to potentially buy the "Lifetime Subscription" that I've heard promoted over the last two weeks. The operator (who also checked with his supervisor) said they knew nothing about a $100 discount or even that there was a promo running!

He quoted me the regular price and said that you could switch to a maximum of 3 different radios over the "lifetime" - at a $35 fee for each switch.

But, again, he only had the regular price - $499.99 for the full XM, with the "best of Sirius".

I asked if they had merged the call centers yet and he said no - this was still an XM only call center - I suspect that's the confusion.

no what is the bargin ??

If you go to Acura or GM owner forums, you will find info on how to get XM to reup you for $77 per year. At that price, it's cheaper to keep it than let it go! Don't use a credit card, or use a one-time-only card, or they'll ding you automatically for a renewal at a much higher rate.

Of course, if you need XM Traffic or "Best of Sirius," that changes things and YMMV.
