WOW!! You mean like Music Choice on Cox Cable...INNOVATIVE!!! Now, this is exciting. I'm going to run out right now and get me an XM receiver for my car...because, ohmygod XM is on Direct TV...so it has to be great...

What?...Oh, I'm sorry...it's just another FORMER radio guy-slash-ancient artifact-slash-doomsayer preaching the demise of terrestrial radio. Go back to your voice work gramps....

Mike...For those of us that love local, terrestrial radio and that still have jobs in radio...would you please go the way of KJUL (and no I don't mean flip country.)

This is terrible, what you said...

Still trying to figure out though why Mike posted this off topic post here and in Los Angeles. Heck, I get XM right now on my dial up AOL connection? Take it easier on Mike, calling him Gramps isn't nice.

Hey snapperhead. I'm in radio. And I have satellite radio. For anyone that is really into music....satellite radio is the only option. I can only hear Aerosmith so many f---ing times!! I have discovered several new artists because of satellite radio. It has its place. Will it replace terrestrial radio? No. I love local radio. I listen to local radio all the time for the personalities and local flavor. I work and listen to local radio. But for music....terrestrial radio is too damn mainstream. Peace out!

Re: This is terrible, what you said...

Wow, more childish name calling. It is apparent that there are a few groupies and never were like yourself that like to just put down on others to try and make yourself important. (by the way, didn't you go from prod asstant in L.A. to retirement Florida? Nice move. This info was only posted so that those who wish to sample it could.

Don't see a a comment in the post saying I like it or not and have never made a comment one way or the other it was only for the info. You sir are a jealous ass and it has become very apparent. Grow some balls and use your real name or if you have a problem grow up and face me

Very tough crowd in here

From the RKO/KRTH Brother John days in 86 where we met, to a Radio Job with the Fed's in 1998, and now retiring early, and/or leaving Florida (whichever comes first?)

tough, not rough...

I never questioned Mike's integrity, nor called him a name. I did once post a link to his head, pictured right next to Gary Owens. Is that not cool or what? Incredible hair, both of them!

Re: tough, not rough...

Nothing wrong with LVRadio Vet that a nice ass whipping won't
cure. Come out, come out wherever you are. My, your perceptions
will doom your fate LV mobile DJ.

I'll meet you behind the Terrible Herbst!

You know we had one of those in Van Nuys some years back. Collins I'm the Madman, and would need to travel 2400 Miles to watch you and Mike O' beat the Tar out of him!. Mike seemed quite pleasant when I met him 20 years ago at K-EARTH 93, an RKO Radio Station.

Re: I'll meet you behind the Terrible Herbst!

Giddy up Madman, we can stream it live on the net.
His last post was especially nasty to Mike O'Neil,
whom I don't know, but recall from KRTH.
