XM signal

Why is xm so powerful in Las Vegas? my pioneer Inno comes in real strong everywhere, in casinos, hotel rooms. other cities It's really hard to get a signal.

Probably because XM has a terrestrial repeater in Las Vegas. They only have them in major metro areas, and given the tourism factor, would definitely one them in LV.

I even get a strong terrestrial signal on my Helix/Inno in Kenosha, Wisconsin...Halfway between Milwaukee & Chicago.

I took my Airware to Nashville last November, and was amazed that I was able to listen to Ron & Fez while sitting in the middle of a restaurant, without a single dropout.

I discovered how strong the terrestrial signal was in Nashville while driving on Murfreesboro
Road at the airport: no signal loss while UNDER the runways between Briley and Donelson Pike.
And that's sitting still in traffic. However, I was in Bellevue last night (next to what's left of the mall)
and the terrestrial signal was ZERO. Location. Location. Location.

Are only certain receivers set up for a terrestrial signal or is it standard on all receivers? I will be making a trip in the near future so I want to make sure my current equipment will be good to go.

Is there an equivalent of Radio Locator for terrestrial satellite repeaters?
