No, it isn't. Hide your head in the sand UNLESS it happens to you. That's all you believe in.WiseguyNJ said:mostb1 said:We will have them removed from both XM and CBS.
You know, I must have very special radios. Every radio that I own has the function to not only change the station/channel/etc but to also turn the radio OFF.
Sure that was in awful taste, but if you listen to them on a regular basis, it's surely not shocking. If this kind of stuff offends you, then don't listen to their show.
Simple, isn't it?
No society can tolerate "laughing" at or promoting rape. That is what they did. It wasn't a joke, it wasn't funny and it wasn't the first time they've done it. XM and Sirius want to merge. They are regulated by the FCC and want a monopoly. Content may not be regulated now but Al Sharpton brought up the idea (on Lou Dobbs Tonight on CNN) that maybe it should be. it's already been brought up 4 times before the FCC and Congress since the merger was announced. It will be a factor in the hearings over the merger (which I don't believe will ever happen) and certainly O&A will be a centerpiece in that discussion. Since these companies have demonstrated they can not self-police themselves to meet community standards of DECENCY, I believe it may be time to regulate satellite and the internet in addition to the terrestrail airwaves.
So, no, turning them off is no idea or answer to glorifying rape. There is only one answer ---> FIRE THEM NOW from both CBS and XM!
