Xm supporting O&A!

We will have them removed from both XM and CBS.

You know, I must have very special radios. Every radio that I own has the function to not only change the station/channel/etc but to also turn the radio OFF.

Sure that was in awful taste, but if you listen to them on a regular basis, it's surely not shocking. If this kind of stuff offends you, then don't listen to their show.

Simple, isn't it?
No, it isn't. Hide your head in the sand UNLESS it happens to you. That's all you believe in.

No society can tolerate "laughing" at or promoting rape. That is what they did. It wasn't a joke, it wasn't funny and it wasn't the first time they've done it. XM and Sirius want to merge. They are regulated by the FCC and want a monopoly. Content may not be regulated now but Al Sharpton brought up the idea (on Lou Dobbs Tonight on CNN) that maybe it should be. it's already been brought up 4 times before the FCC and Congress since the merger was announced. It will be a factor in the hearings over the merger (which I don't believe will ever happen) and certainly O&A will be a centerpiece in that discussion. Since these companies have demonstrated they can not self-police themselves to meet community standards of DECENCY, I believe it may be time to regulate satellite and the internet in addition to the terrestrail airwaves.

So, no, turning them off is no idea or answer to glorifying rape. There is only one answer ---> FIRE THEM NOW from both CBS and XM!

You guys are missing the point when you try to make it about Sharpton. He is not the issue, what O and A said IS.

Uh, what did O&A say? Oh right, nothing. It was a homeless guy who said it.

Did O&A egg him on? Did O&A have the ability to dump out of the bit? Did O&A do another tasteless bit on raping a women just weeks before?

Some of you just have such stupid reasonings.

Well of course we do! Thank you for pointing this out. As Radio-Info's resident nanny, you have certainly done a terrific job guiding us through these tough times.

BTW: I am still curious as to who issued you the authority to do all the thinking for the rest of us.

I never said what was said on their show was appropriate.

What I said was that I must have a pretty special radios, they let me tune to the programming that I choose to listen to and not what someone else thinks that I should listen to. Perhaps you should drive the same kind of car that I do, I can turn the radio off, mute it, change the frequency or channel, adjust the volume... really, it's pretty amazing. If I hear something that I don't like, I don't have to go crying that someone should pull them off of the air, I simply choose something else to listen to.

So who, exactly, are you to determine what I can and can not listen to?

Sadly O and A are greedy, and they're no longer hungry as they were when they were on afternoons. They have become everything, EVERYTHING they had ever accused Howard of being, they are lazy and put on the most half assed show. When was the last time that they DID anything on that show? the 50 gallon drum challange was interesting and funny, things like Voyuor bus was interesting and funny, that's when they actually DID things. Now it's all just them shooting the BS. That's lazy, and they have not been interesting or funny since they came back. Do not bother to argue, their numbers have reflected that. With all the supposed anticipation since their dismissal afer sex for sam, they should have had a built in audience and an instantly huge book in New York at leas. When I hear the excuse of them having to build up an audience it makes me laugh because if any of their competitors ever gave that excuse they would call them out for being full of it so fast.

Im pulling for them but I hate what they have become. Part of it no doubt is the chhange in fcc tone over the past couple of years I will grant them this much but truth is they are coasting in the biggest way.

I couldn't agree more. I really liked O & A when they first came to XM, because I was not familiar with how good they used to be. Then Ron & Fez signed on to XM and started making O & A look silly. Then O & A got access to their old tapes and I was able to compare the old days to what they try to pass off as "great radio" now.

I hope O & A don't get canned. I think they went too far, but it's a shame that a medium free of government regulation is not as free as they advertise. That being said, anything that gets me more Ron & Fez is appreciated.
