Xmas music

Traditionally Magic goes Christmas the day before Thanksgiving...an interesting dynamic this year: WPOZ also does Christmas music and Z88.3 is beating Magic 6+.

So I wonder when Z88.3 will go Christmas?

However, CC cares more about the revenue potential than Christmas ratings.

Re: Christmas music

I wonder if any of these radio stations that go all Christmas that early even know the reason why we celebrate Christmas. ???

I want a station to nut-up and play Trans-Siberian Orchestra this year.

I'd like people to quit calling it XMAS instead of Christmas...Has nothing to do with anything but the birth of the Lord!

Q105 in Tampa has been playing TSO for years.

Q105 has been known to play a bit wider selection of Xmas/holiday tunes than the usual Bing/Nat/Carpenters stuff.

There is research that shows listeners want stations to call it Christmas music and not be PC.
Certain Retailers and Department Stores have felt the sting and are once again calling it Christmas and not Holidays.

Keep it PC boys, Holiday music. Muslims and Hindus listen and have PPM's too.

Why would they listen to "CHRISTmas music?

Why would they listen to "CHRISTmas music?

Erm, maybe because if they listen to a particular station and that station "goes Christmas," then, well, do I really need to explain the math? It ain't rocket science.... :D

Happy Xmas! (Not PC...just atheist).

Regardless of what you call it , most of it sucks.

Once tried to get a P.D. (who was Black, for what's it's worth ) to play a B.B. King Christmas song in afternoon drive at an AC station . No go.

Isn't the reason the X in X-mas is used because the X represents a cross? And doesn't the term holiday come from the term "holy day"? Also I never seem to notice an outcry of people who are anti-christmas, but every year around this time there's a lot of whining about how saying the word "holiday" is so horrible.

As for music, I agree with the love for the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Also I remember a station up north that always played Gary Hoey, a guy who did some great guitar oriented Christmas covers.

First of all, Christmas is spelled with a Capitol C!

The lack of out cry of Anti Christmas people, is because it is probably less than 1 percent of the population.

Long Live Elmo and Patsy!
