If youve got an xm radio, dont forget the launch of the New Rhythmic Chr tommorow. I guess its going to be on Channel 68...... Can anyone guess how this is going to be any different than our Urban-Top 40 station (The-City), since the difference between a Rhythmic, and Urban, is more-less in the imaging and target audience, with sometimes no difference in playlists. The City isnt really playing as many Ballads lately, but I would think with the new Rhythmic coming, The city will probably shift ists focus to more R&B in the future. Anyone else have any predictions on what changes the new channel may bring.

I would imagine that The Heat will be the same as The Eye which is the Rhythmic CHR that is on XM Online. The City will play more recurrents and R&B. The Eye is more repetitive that The City and I would bet that The Heat will be more repetitive as well. I wonder if The Heat will have DJs and artist interviews like The City does?

Well, it didnt turn out to be like the eye, It pretty much is a typical Rhythmic Top 40, playing the most popular Hip Hop&R&B songs, but also plays artists like P.ssy Cat Dolls, and Rhianna, that doesnt get played on The City. Right now, the playlist is really repetative, and I mean really small, but Im gonna give it plenty of time, seeing as its a new channel.
