XTU Ratings Question

It seems that for the last several Spring Books, WXTU has dipped 12-plus. I'm trying to make sense of that annual dip in spite of the huge Anniversary Show they put on with major Country talent and all the ticket runs they do for the three months, or more, before the early June event. All this monster promotional activity precedes the Spring Book and goes right through most of it.

It would seem that this effort should be rewarded with a boost in their overall 12-plus numbers...but, it apparently hasn't. I'm mystified by the dichotomy.

What am I missing here? Anybody?

Well Dale,

As you know, 12+ numbers don't really mean a whole lot. Look at the breakdown in the target demos. I don't know what they are, but since you have access to those numbers as you reported the annual dip for the last several Spring Books, I'm sure you'll find your answer there.

Hope that helps

Well Maureen:

Still butch as ever, arncha? You could have just answered the question the person asked without the snarkiness. But, that's just you, Ms. Kees or is it Black now? I forget, ditzy chica that I am. (Wasn't Radio Tropical muy bueno?)

The answer to their question is that only the most loyal listeners, the P-Ones, respond to the overwhelming promotional push of the anniversary show and give aways of 92.5. The rest of the casual listeners probably find it all a bit too much.

By the way, Jerry Clifton sends you his best from here on the West Coast and hopes you'll kiss & make up with Chuck Tisa. Jajaja

Why does everything have to get so personal on this message board? By the way, Chuck Tisa is the worst program director Philadelphia has ever seen. But, i hear he takes great care of his male emplyoees.

Keep your West Coast day job, Sherlock. Your inside jokes are wasted on me. And I only know Jerry Clifton by reputation.
